Beloved, I am glad to share with you today, on the rewards granted by the  Almighty Lord God to those who overcome bad things of the world. First of all, in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 28: 1-14) we read the list of blessings to be received after obeying the law of the Lord, reaffirmed in the Psalms, Proverbs and the Prophets, and for a world coming ahead.

Then, in the New Testament, we have passages below where God speaks to us of those who are kindly rewarded and receive the grace of God (Romans 6,23, Romans 11: 6), who believe in Jesus (John 14: 1-3; John 4.5,16), who have an obedient faith (Luke 14: 12-14, 1 Corinthians 3: 8, 12-14, Ephesians 6: 8, Colossians 3: 23-24, James 2: 14-24); who are persecuted for Jesus’ sake (Matthew 5: 1-12).

Three remarkable verses allow us to the point of this very important theme in the search for salvation and eternal life.

First of all, in 1 John 2.13 ”   I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.  .”

Then, in 1 John 4.4 ”   You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.   .”

And finally, in 1 John 5.5 ”   Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.    “

What rewards await those who triumph?

First Reward: Spiritual Food: Revelation 2.7 ” Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”

Second Reward: A New Name: Revelation 2.26 “To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations“

Third reward: robes of righteousness: Revelation 3.5 ” The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.”

Fourth reward: a pillar in the temple of God: Revelation 3. 12 ” The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.”

Fifth reward: enthronement : Revelation 3.21 “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 12:11 ” They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

Sixth reward: an eternal inheritance: Revelation 21.7 ” Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.”

Our prayers strengthen you in getting the above mentioned rewards.

PRAYER OF ACCEPTANCE OF JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR

I now invite anyone who wants to become a new creation by walking in the truth, to pray with me as follows :

Lord Jesus, I have long walked in the lusts of the world ignoring your love for humans. I acknowledge that I have sinned against you and ask forgiveness for all my sins, because today I have decided to give you my life by taking you as my Lord and personal Savior. I acknowledge that you died on the cross of Calvary and that you rose from the dead for me.

I am now saved and born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lead me each day to eternal life you give to all who obey your Word. Reveal to me and strengthen my heart and my faith so that your light may shine in my life right now.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for accepting me in your divine family so that I too can contemplate the wonders of your kingdom.

I will now choose a nearby waterpoint to baptize myself by immersion, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

To you all adoration, power, and glory, now and forever and ever. Amen!

I would be glad to revert on your queries and comments as necessary, before sharing  with you next week on the characteristics of the spiritual struggle.

May the Almighty Lord God bless you in abundance.

David Feze, Servant of the Lord of hosts.
