Beloved, I am glad to share with you today, the two strophes of Psalms 119 pertaining to the fact that the righteous sees God coming near him in order to save him, and to the expanding of evil, which definitely leads him to choose the practicing of the Law of God.

The psalmist, while facing hostility, turns to the Almighty Lord for his deliverance. With confidence, he prays as from before dawn. He knows that divine laws are eternal and that God comes near to save him.

On the contrary, his enemies flee from the law and approach to harm him. Moving in God’s manner is to seek life for others, according to the eternal laws of divine love.

But, you could rather find a sad show for a lover of the law; as a matter of fact, enemies fearing neither God nor man, mock the divine will. Only the huge mercy of the Lord will overcome their large number and their mockery. Whenever God looks at humility, it’s to provide revival.

Finally, the evil overgrowth always offers a distressing show. You may get used to it, and even close your eyes. But, isn’t it better getting worried about it, rolling up your sleeves to build a world according to the Lord’s guidance, and joining your confident prayer to that of the psalmist?

KOPH

Psalms 119:145 I have made my prayer with all my heart; give answer to me, O Lord: I will keep your rules.

146 My cry has gone up to you; take me out of trouble, and I will be guided by your unchanging word.

147 Before the sun is up, my cry for help comes to your ear; my hope is in your words.

148 In the night watches I am awake, so that I may give thought to your saying.

149 Let my voice come to you, in your mercy; O Lord, by your decisions give me life.

150 Those who have evil designs against me come near; they are far from your law.

151 You are near, O Lord; and all your teachings are true.

152 I have long had knowledge that your unchanging word is for ever.

RESH

153 O see my trouble, and be my saviour; for I keep your law in my mind,

154 Undertake my cause, and come to my help, give me life, as you have said.

155 Salvation is far from evil-doers; for they have made no search for your rules.

156 Great is the number of your mercies, O Lord; give me life in keeping with your decisions.

157 Great is the number of those who are against me; but I have not been turned away from your unchanging word.

158 I saw with hate those who were untrue to you; for they did not keep your saying.

159 See how great is my love for your orders: give me life, O Lord, in keeping with your mercy.

160 Your word is true from the first; and your upright decision is unchanging for ever.

May the Almighty God turn to you and save all of you.

PRAYER OF ACCEPTANCE OF JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR

I now invite anyone who wants to become a new creation by walking in the truth, to pray with me as follows :

Lord Jesus, I have long walked in the lusts of the world ignoring your love for humans. I acknowledge that I have sinned against you and ask forgiveness for all my sins, because today I have decided to give you my life by taking you as my Lord and personal Savior. I acknowledge that you died on the cross of Calvary and that you rose from the dead for me.

I am now saved and born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lead me each day to eternal life you give to all who obey your Word. Reveal to me and strengthen my heart and my faith so that your light may shine in my life right now.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for accepting me in your divine family so that I too can contemplate the wonders of your kingdom.

I will now choose a nearby waterpoint to baptize myself by immersion, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

To you all adoration, power, and glory, now and forever and ever. Amen!

I would be glad to revert on your queries as necessary before sharing next week the last two strophes pertaining to the attitude that leads to true happiness, and to the project for life, once your salvation is granted.

May the Almighty God bless you in abundance.

David Feze, Servant of the Living Lord.
