Beloved, I am glad to share today with you the following two strophes of Psalms 119 pertaining to the fact that the lax of God provides a safe shield for the believer, and also to the fact that a service draws another one.

As a matter of fact, calling for help based on love for the Law, could lead to find protection, whereby those who do not think about it continue to ruin their own life. Going against the law may therefore lead the heavy consequences. And from hence the fear felt by the righteous, which is a source of cautiousness and wisdom, so as to distinguish an unhealthy fear of God.

From there, you may query as to which defense systems are you entrusting your safety? To a latest fashion arsenal? Or to lie erected to a living fashion? There is no doubt that only the Word of God represents the safe shield that we permanently need.

But as a good servant, we should obey to the Lord’s orders. Zealous, the psalmist wishes to let us perfectly know the will of his master. Therefore, he could seek and lawfully hope from Him a divine salvation.

Only that passiveness looks out for those who are going through a difficult situation: and the attitude of the psalmist provides here a brain waving example: that of seeking help obviously, but continuing to act  oneself and  seeking the will of God. These two services remain tightly linked.

Psalms 119:113 I am a hater of men of doubting mind; but I am a lover of your law.

114 You are my secret place and my breastplate against danger; my hope is in your word.

115 Go far from me, you evil-doers; so that I may keep the teachings of my God.

116 Be my support as you have said, and give me life; let not my hope be turned to shame.

117 Let me not be moved, and I will be safe, and ever take delight in your rules.

118 You have overcome all those who are wandering from your rules; for all their thoughts are false.

119 All the sinners of the earth are like waste metal in your eyes; and for this cause I give my love to your unchanging word.

120 My flesh is moved for fear of you; I give honour to your decisions.

121 I have done what is good and right: you will not give me into the hands of those who are working against me.

122 Take your servant’s interests into your keeping; let me not be crushed by the men of pride.

123 My eyes are wasted with desire for your salvation, and for the word of your righteousness.

124 Be good to your servant in your mercy, and give me teaching in your rules.

125 I am your servant; give me wisdom, so that I may have knowledge of your unchanging word.

126 It is time, O Lord, for you to let your work be seen; for they have made your law without effect.

127 For this reason I have greater love far your teachings than for gold, even for shining gold.

128 Because of it I keep straight in all things by your orders; and I am a hater of every false way.

Our prayers are there to strengthen you in order to find this safe shield.

PRAYER OF ACCEPTANCE OF JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR

I now invite anyone who wants to become a new creation by walking in the truth, to pray with me as follows :

Lord Jesus, I have long walked in the lusts of the world ignoring your love for humans. I acknowledge that I have sinned against you and ask forgiveness for all my sins, because today I have decided to give you my life by taking you as my Lord and personal Savior. I acknowledge that you died on the cross of Calvary and that you rose from the dead for me.

I am now saved and born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Lead me each day to eternal life you give to all who obey your Word. Reveal to me and strengthen my heart and my faith so that your light may shine in my life right now.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for accepting me in your divine family so that I too can contemplate the wonders of your kingdom.

I will now choose a nearby waterpoint to baptize myself by immersion, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

To you all adoration, power, and glory, now and forever and ever. Amen!

I would be glad to revert on your queries as necessary, before sharing next week on the following two strophes pertaining to the devouring passion for the Word, and to the wrath prompted by the amnesia of unbelievers.

May the Almighty God bless you in abundance.

David Feze, Servant of the living God.
