Beloved, for the past few days, the whole world, the work of the hands of our Heavenly Father, has entered another phase of its history. Indeed, a new disease called COVID-19 is giving major concerns to all countries. Fortunately, in his infinite goodness, whenever men do harm, the Almighty God does something in our favor. That’s what we read in his Word.

Thus, we can read in John 3:16 that  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Indeed, this love is the principle and the supreme source of salvation. He loved the world, this fallen, sinful world, in revolt against Him; he loved our entire humanity to which he intended this manifestation of his love. He gave, not only sent, but abandoned what was dearest to him, his only Son; “He delivered him for all of us, how will he not also give us all things with him?” (Romans 8:32),  “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”(1 Peter 2:24). That’s why the diseases are not his.

Now the love of God was shown to us in that he sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live by him (1 John 4,9).

And to live by him also means to live in him and him in us, in particular by obedience to his word, love of neighbor and in particular, by the practice of the Lord’s Supper, which is one of the symbols of the meeting perfect and final with him in eternity.

In particular, He requires of all human beings only to believe in his Son, that is to say to put in him all the confidence of his heart. Finally, it opens to the eyes of this believer the immense and blessed perspectives of eternal life. That’s why he sees us all and knows what we’re doing.

This is why the Bible reminds us in Revelation 3.15-22:

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

So we know what we need to do in order to sit with our Savior Jesus Christ on his throne.

Finally, this pandemic announces the renewal of all things : the new name of the believer, the new name of the Savior (Revelation 3.12), the new hymn (Revelation 5.9; 14.3), a new heaven, a new earth (Revelation 21.1), the new Jerusalem (Revelation 3.12; 21.2) and ultimately “all things made new” (Revelation 21.5).

Obedience of which we spoke above includes of course, that of the governmental authorities in line with the all measures put in place and announced in the various countries of the world.

Let’s stand firm and repent for those who have not yet done so, so that we are all ready for the final divine feast. Be strengthened by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our prayers support you all in your faith in God until the final victory over evil, and especially for the coming enjoyment of eternal life.

May the Eternal Almighty God abundantly bless you.

David Feze, Servant of the Lord Almighty.
